Mortal Kombat 11 has been a somewhat divisive game among longtime series fans, with many players praising Netherrealm's continued dedication to trying out new mechanics and others lamenting the needlessly complex armor system. Currently, it appears as if only NPCs can perform the brutality, but it will likely be included for normal players to earn during a Towers of Time event in the near future.

Some of the best Mortal Kombat fatalities in the franchise have often made little sense, and this one from Mortal Kombat 3 is no exception. Check out Boon's confirmation, including a retweeted video of someone discovering Jax's new brutality for themselves, below: Much like in the 2d-era, once the Brutality's prerequisites have been met Jax suddenly grows to an absolutely massive size and squashes his opponent under his boot, with even the camera framing recreating the iconography and feel of Mortal Kombat's earlier, sprite-based version. Now, Mortal Kombat co-creator and series lead Ed Boon has confirmed via Twitter that one of MK11's most recent updates included a new brutality for Jax, and it hearkens back to the days of pixel art MK3 glory.

Mortal Kombat 3 also introduced the concept of Mercies and Animalities to the series, the latter of which was featured in the 1997 film Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Something which was not introduced in Mortal Kombat 3, but arguably was perfected there, are the game's fatalities, many of which leaned more into the eccentric and silly varieties as time went on. There were many other new introductions in Mortal Kombat 3 which would go on to become series mainstays, including the addition of robotic kombatants like Sektor, Cyrax, and Robot Smoke. First introduced in Mortal Kombat 2, Major Jackson Briggs, or Jax, has since gone on to become one of the most recognizable characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise, thanks in no small part to his iconic metal arms, which made their first appearance in Mortal Kombat 3. Best wishes and may the gaming gods bring you glory.A new Brutality which has recently been discovered in Mortal Kombat 11 calls back to one of Jax's classic finishing moves from Mortal Kombat 3. It is, however, a very small minority of people upset about it as far as I can tell, and I doubt anyone upset about it even reads this. It was a horrible time in world history that humanity should be ashamed off not arguing over a fictional character for ending it. It is also a video game, why are people thinking so much about it? Just enjoy the game and realize that the vast majority of black people in the world would do the exact same thing with that power, and rightfully so. Forget the fact that he would need to do something multiple gods have failed to do in defeating Shao Kahn, you are expecting one guy to cross worlds and time to stop something while ignoring his own ancestors and planet. This is the most ridiculous argument for racism I have possibly ever heard. That is it, that is the argument in a nutshell. The argument goes simply like this, Shao Kahn also has slaves for generations and by not freeing them when he has more slaves from dozens of worlds, races, and species Jax is racist because he only cares about black people. (these 2 events are not related, he just does them both) This has a small number of people that are being quite vocal screaming racism. Here we go, the ending to the classic arcade mode will see Jax going back in time to end slavery early by stopping the slave trade and getting his wife and daughter back into his life. From here on out there are spoilers for one of the endings to Mortal Kombat 11, and there is no way to avoid that. For those that don’t know and don’t want to know, now is the time to stop reading.
